Terms of use
Last updated October 12, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Camoview LLC (“we”, “us”) for using Camo View. By creating an account or using Camo View, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Camo View.
Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your information. It’s part of how Camo View works, so please read it too.
The service
Camo View is a document editor with a writing assistant that types the text you ask for into your page at a human pace. The editor itself, including writing, formatting, saving, version history and exports, works in your browser without an account. The writing tools, such as drafting, rewriting, voice profiles and the optional refinement pass, need an account.
Your documents are stored in your browser on your device, not on our servers. You are responsible for keeping copies of work you care about. Use Download private backup in Storage & privacy to save a backup file. We can’t recover documents that are lost when browser data is cleared or a device is lost or replaced.
Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you may use Camo View only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
- You need an email address that you can confirm. Give accurate information and keep your email address current.
- Keep your password private. Don’t share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Don’t create accounts by automated means, and don’t create extra accounts to get more free words.
- If you think someone else has used your account, reset your password and email us at support@camoview.com.
Plans and billing
Free
Free costs $0. It includes 300 processed words per rolling 30-day period, in one pool shared by all the writing tools. The words in your request and the context you send can count, alongside the words generated. The period starts with your first request that uses words and lasts 30 days. Unused words don’t roll over. Free requests use a limited amount of document context and don’t use attached reference files.
Pro
Pro costs $19.99 per month in US dollars. It is billed monthly through Stripe and renews automatically each month until you cancel. Pro has no visible word quota for normal personal use, subject to fair use.
Canceling
You can cancel any time. Open the account menu, choose Plans, then Manage billing, and cancel on Stripe’s billing page. Pro continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then your account returns to Free. You won’t be charged again after you cancel.
Payments and refunds
Stripe processes payments; you agree to provide a valid payment method and keep it up to date. If a renewal payment fails, Pro stays active until the end of the period already paid for, and the account returns to Free if payment isn’t completed. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support and we’ll review it.
Your plan
Your plan is decided by our server’s records. A link, a page or a setting in your browser doesn’t change it. If we change the price of Pro, we’ll tell you before the new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.
Fair use
Pro is for one person’s own writing. To keep it working well for everyone, Pro is subject to fair use. Automated bulk use, account sharing and reselling access are outside fair use.
All plans have technical limits on how quickly and how much can be requested at once. These protect the service and aren’t a word quota. We may slow or limit an account whose use is far outside normal personal writing. Where we can, we’ll contact you first.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Camo View for anything illegal, or to create content that is illegal, infringes someone else’s rights, harasses, threatens or defames people, or exploits or endangers children;
- use Camo View for fraud, impersonation, spam or other deception that harms people;
- abuse the service, including overloading it, disrupting it, probing or attacking our systems, or trying to reach other people’s accounts or data;
- try to get around plan limits, word counts, rate limits or the bot check, for example with extra accounts, shared accounts or modified requests;
- create accounts by automated means, or use bots or scripts to send requests outside the editor;
- resell, sublicense or share access to Camo View;
- put content in a writing request that you don’t have the right to share, such as confidential information you aren’t permitted to disclose.
Good-faith security research that you report to us privately is welcome. See Help & support for how to report it.
Your content
You own what you write in Camo View. We don’t claim ownership of your documents, your requests or the text generated for you.
When you make a writing request, you give us permission to process the text you send, which means passing it to our service providers and returning the response to you, only to provide Camo View to you. We don’t claim any other rights to your content.
You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to what you put in a request, including any sources you attach.
AI output and your responsibilities
Text from the assistant is generated automatically. It can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or unsuitable for your purpose, and similar text may be generated for other people. Review it before you use it, especially facts, figures, names, quotes and citations. The optional refinement pass is designed to keep numbers, dates, names and links intact, but you should still check the result.
You are responsible for how you use what you write with Camo View. That includes following the rules of your school, employer, client or publication about AI-assisted writing and disclosure.
We don’t promise any outcome from AI detectors. No result from GPTZero, Turnitin or any other AI detector is guaranteed, and Camo View doesn’t include a detector. The human-paced typing is a way of showing text as it arrives on your page; it isn’t a record of how, or by whom, a piece was written.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Camo View available, but we don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may pause the writing tools, for example for maintenance, during a provider outage or to protect the service. When they’re paused, the editor keeps working on your device.
We may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering Camo View or Pro, we’ll give reasonable notice where we can.
Ending your account
You can stop using Camo View at any time. Erasing your device, canceling a subscription and deleting your account are three separate steps:
Erase data on this device
In the editor’s document library, open Storage & privacy and choose Clear local data, or open Preferences → Privacy → Erase everything. This removes the documents, versions, sources, voice profile and settings stored in this browser. It can’t be undone, and it may also sign you out of this browser. It doesn’t delete your account and doesn’t cancel a subscription.
Cancel a subscription
Open the account menu, choose Plans, then Manage billing. This opens Stripe’s billing page, where you can cancel. Pro continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then your account returns to Free. Canceling doesn’t delete your account or anything on your device.
Delete your account
Email support@camoview.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. There is no self-serve button; we do it for you. Deletion removes your account, your plan and your usage records. It doesn’t touch anything stored on your devices, and it doesn’t cancel a subscription by itself, so cancel Pro first.
Want to keep your work? Before you erase anything or delete your account, open Storage & privacy and choose Download private backup. It saves your documents, versions and sources to a file on your device.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or where the law requires it. Where appropriate, we’ll tell you why. Sections that by their nature should continue after an account ends, including Your content, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability and Governing law, continue to apply.
Disclaimers
Camo View is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that output will be accurate or that the service will meet your needs. Some places don’t allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Camoview LLC won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, including documents stored on your device. Our total liability for any claim relating to Camo View is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Camo View in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t be limited under the law that applies to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where Camoview LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you use Camo View as a consumer, you keep any protections that the law where you live gives you and that can’t be waived by agreement.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we’ll give notice on the site or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Camo View after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you don’t agree, stop using Camo View and cancel any subscription.
General
If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a part of these terms, that isn’t a waiver of our right to enforce it later. These terms and the Privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Camo View.
